Since late August, the SwagCycle team has been working urgently to gather merchandise donations for YMCA International Services in Houston to help resettle families from Afghanistan.
Shortly after connecting with SwagCycle, YMCA International Services began preparing to serve more than 1,000 Afghan arrivals in the next year.
When SwagCycle sent a call for help to our network of partners, more than 10 companies and organizations responded and worked with us to donate tens of thousands of much-needed items. Donations included baby and adult clothing, water bottles, bags, drinkware, and a wide array of other products.
SwagCycle and YMCA International Services are grateful to the companies and organizations that donated this merchandise.

We’re excited to have made progress in expanding the impact of our work so far this year. As of the end of September, we had:
- Kept 331,325 items out of landfills (up from 60,418 at the end of 2020)
- Facilitated $808,506.06 of donations to charitable causes (up from $168,922 at the end of 2020)
